What Paint for a Painter?

Colour and Sheen
You're more sure to get the right colour when you select colour codes and paint from the same dealer.
Sometimes clients request crossmatches from Home Depot colours (Behr,CIL,Ralph Lauren). Home Depot has longer hours than paint stores for colour picking.
Tinters often request 1 day to crossmatch a competitors colour especially if it's not on record.
I can try to help select colours but I'm not an accredited interior designer. Colour consultants are available for a fee. Please search the web.

Paint
Please let me know what brand of paint you prefer. Painting contractor paint rates range from $16/gal to $75.00/gal for acrylic paint.
I often get asked, 'What's the best paint?' This is the job of Masters Painters Insitute MPI. If the product is MPI listed, chances it passed testing.
Or contact a paint store if you have technical questions about products.
I can suggest an appropriate paint based on substrate, washability, colour retention, budget, durability, flexibility, bond strength, aesthetics, blocking or VOC level.

Painting with Benjamin Moore Aura is about 3x expensive but acts like 1.6 coats compared to other paints. Aura is overkill for 2 coats but pays off to dodge 3 coats.
